It’s Friday! Oh my, I thought this day would never come. That mid-year slump and burnout is real! 

It’s Friday! Oh my, I thought this day would never come. That mid-year slump and burnout is real! 

I thought instead of just brushing off the bodies yearning for a break, I’d listen to it. And here are my key factors to a successful weekend of relaxation.

Here are some of my tips for unwinding

TIP ONE

A Friday evening unwind. I love having a glass of my favourite wine, pizza, a good movie with either my partner, friends, or myself can me help unwind from the week.

TIP TWO

Movement, this weekend do something that moves the body. Go for a walk outside, or give yourself that stretch your office humped shoulders need (looking at me here…). 

 

 

TIP THREE

Have a moment or two of stillness, connect with your thoughts and your breath to bring in a sense of calm.

TIP FOUR

Eat. Eat good food, drink good wine, be present and spend time with people who fill up your cup. 

TIP FIVE

Have a self-care moment, whether that’s a face mask, a bath, a good cup of coffee on your own, or hitting the trails. Do something that makes you feel better afterward 

Nourish yourself this weekend so you can be rested and fuelled up for the upcoming week
